Where

Picture sizes

• Desktop picture: 1920 × 600 px (wide). Required.
• Phone picture: 1080 × 1080 or 1080 × 1350 px (square or a little taller). Optional — without one, phones show the desktop picture.
• JPG, PNG or WebP up to 8 MB. We convert it to WebP in three sizes (640, 1080, 1920) so phones download a small file.

Steps

1. Press + Add slide (up to 8).
2. Upload the desktop picture, and a phone picture if you have one.
3. Fill What the picture shows — required; it is read out to blind shoppers and shown if the picture fails.
4. Optional: a title and a line under it.
5. Where a tap goes: a product, a category, a collection (Deals, New arrivals, All products) or any address.
6. Optional: Show from / Show until dates (India time, both days included). Untick Show this slide to hide it without deleting it.
7. Drag a slide (or use ▲ ▼) to change the order. The live preview at the top shows the computer and phone views.
8. Press Save banners.

How the shop shows them

• Full width at the top of the home page on /store and /wa. They change every 5 seconds and stop while the mouse is over them; arrows on a computer, swipe and dots on a phone.
• With no slide switched on (or all outside their dates), the shop shows its normal home page.

Common mistakes

• A stock photo of something you do not sell. Use pictures of your own products.
• A tall picture as the desktop picture: it is cut at the top and bottom. Use 1920 × 600.
• Forgetting the description: the save is refused until it is there.
