WhatsApp — your number, triggers and history
Send order messages from your own number, choose which messages go out, and see what was sent or held back.
Connect your own number (optional)
- Settings → Communication → WhatsApp number. Turn on Use my own WhatsApp Business number.
- Fill your number, the API key (starts
fg_live_) and the webhook signing secret from web.flowgento.com/settings/api; point that webhook at/api/webhooks/flowgento-whatsapp. - Save connection, then 🧪 Test. The test lists any template that is missing or not approved.
Triggers
Each message type has a switch, all off by default: Order confirmed, dispatched, delivered, cancelled, Refund issued, Payment received / reminder, Cart reminder, Back in stock, Price drop, Review request. Next to each, the template's status (Approved / Pending / Not created) — a switch only sends when the template is approved.
History
📨 Message history shows every message: when, who, why it was sent, and the outcome (sent / failed / held back, with the reason).
Common mistakes
- Expecting a message with the trigger off. Email always goes; WhatsApp needs the switch.
- Marketing messages (cart, stock, price, review) obey STOP replies, quiet hours and daily caps — "held back" is not a failure.
